Naresh Warrier is a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering, Poona, University of Pune. He graduated with a distinction in July 1983. In July 1993, he completed the Chartered Financial Analyst program (Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India, Hyderabad). Further, he also holds a Post-Graduate Degree as a Master of Marketing Management (MMM) from NarseeMonjee Institute of Management Studies, University of Mumbai (July 2001). He then completed his Doctoral Program in Business Administration from Apollos University, headquartered in Great Falls, Montana, USA in September 2021.

In consonance with this academic background, he has about 32 years of industry experience, of which, close to 20 years have been in leadership positions. During his corporate life, he was involved in turning around underperforming firms, setting up green field ventures and running multiple businesses He sought premature retirement in December 2013, from the MINDA GROUP, as Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer. He then worked with a couple of smaller groups in Kerala/Gurgaon as a consultant.

Subsequently, he spent seven years in academia in the capacity of a full-time academician/administrator working with Academic Institutions/ Business Schools as Faculty/Dean/Director including a year with Jyothi Engineering College, Kerala as Chief Operating Officer. He was responsible for the running of the Integrated Industrial Incubation Centre, a venture jointly promoted by Jyothi Engineering College and TATA Technologies.The last position he held was that of COO- NRB Industrial Bearings Limited.
