Biz-Flare 2021-Inter-Collegiate Business Symposium

Firebird Institute of Research in Management an International business school, approved by AICTE, Government of India, located at Golf Club Road, Chettipalayam, Coimbatore organized a Mega One day Business symposium, ‘Biz-Flare 2021’ on 29th October 2021 at their campus.

The overall objective of the symposium was to encourage the entrepreneurial spirit in the young minds and also foster their business skills and knowledge by encouraging them to participate in seven innovatively designed business competitions aptly titled ‘Biz-Start-up’, ‘Biz-Inspire’, ‘Ad-zap’, ‘Biz-Hunt’, ‘Biz-Attire’, ‘Photo Dazzle’ and ‘Movie Sparkle’.

Keeping with the theme – “A Business Symposium for the Young and Fiery Business Leaders”, the intercollegiate event was aimed at bringing out business start-up ideas, instilling inspiration from charismatic business leaders, showcasing their business acumen, selling skills and business attire through the various competitions. The events were planned to ensure opportunities for participants to bring out their creativity, analytical skills, design thinking, public speaking and presentation skills,

The business symposium brought together actual investors, elite academicians and eminent industrialists as the jury members. More than three hundred students had registered for the symposium from various colleges in South India. To top it all, Firebird Institute offered a mind-boggling prize money totalling Rupees Two Lakh Fifty Thousand. The ‘Winners’ were awarded a cash prize of rupees Twenty Thousand and the ‘Runners’ were awarded a cash prize of Rupees Ten Thousand.

The Inauguration of the business symposium was held at 9.30 A.M at Leelavathi Auditorium, Firebird Institute of Research in Management. Shri. M. V. Ramesh Babu, President of CODISSIA (The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association) was the Chief Guest.

Smt. Gayathri Krishna, classical dancer and actress was the Guest of honour. The Director of Firebird Institute of Research in Management, Dr. P. Srinivas Rao delivered the welcome address. The Additional Director Prof. S. Jothiramalingam gave the overview about the symposium. The Chief Guest, Shri. M. V. Ramesh Babu emphasized the importance of identifying young business minds and that their ideas could contribute towards India’s start-up mission. Dean-Student Empowerment, Prof Chetan Bajan, proposed the vote of thanks during the Inaugural.

The event concluded at 5:30 PM with a Grand valedictory ceremony.

Shri. Kanishka Arumugam, CEO, EKKI HOMA pumps adorned the valedictory as the Chief Guest. The Managing Trustee of Firebird Institute of Research in Management, Dr. S. K. Sundararaman presided and delivered the Presidential address. The Chief Guest Shri. Kanishka Arumugam, in his address, urged the students to utilize such events to bring out their entrepreneurial talents.

Managing Trustee Dr. S. K. Sundararaman emphasized on the importance and need for the students to learn in a practical manner, think innovatively and courageously attempt different ideas to carve their own niche in the market.

The Chief Guest along with the dignitaries then awarded the certificates and prizes to the Winners and Runners of every event on the grand stage.

The Business symposium concluded at 6:00 PM with the vote of thanks rendered by Prof. Rajesh Hari Krishnan, the convenor of the event.
