Key Highlights:
- 14 years hands-on customer interface experience gathered in the automotive, financial services, direct selling, and music retailing industries, and across business and consumer markets. Following a mid-career shift to academics in 1999, I learn, teach, consult, re-search and have fun in the process
- At IIM Trichy a start-up, I set up the Chennai Campus in 2012 and launched the Post Graduate Programme for Working Executives. Wrote the Convocation Manual and coordinated the 1st four convocations from 2013 to 2016, which were graced by Shri Kumar Mangalam Birla [Aditya Birla Group], Shri A M Naik [Larsen & Toubro Limited], Shri UdayKotak [Kotak Mahindra Bank], and Shri AjitBalakrishnan [Rediff.com].
- From 2013 to 2016, managed the flagship Post Graduate Programme in Management at the Trichy Campus. During my term introduced a social project ‘Make a difference’ which is now a mandatory requirement for award of the PGP Diploma. From 2016 to 2017 managed the Executive Education & Consulting activity that included all residual non-degree programmes and TEQIP [Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme] a World Bank assisted project.
- In addition, spearheaded the Accreditation Committee as well as the Programme Review Committee. Also briefly shepherded the Campus Relocation Committee that oversaw the shift to the new campus in Pudukkottai Main Road.
- A firm believer in participant-centered learning, I enthusiastically experiment with learner-centered methodologies like simulation, case method, and discussions in class.
