Action Learning Programme (ALP)
The goal of the Action Based Learning Program is to emphasize students gaining practical experience to satisfy future endeavours. This can only happen if they have prior industrial training.
From the very first month of enrolment at our institute, the students are filtered based on their areas of interest, we train them thru all the departments giving emphasis to their area of interest by placing them in relevant companies in Coimbatore that are within 15- kilometer radius, which is entirely handled by Firebird's placement team. This particular Firebird curriculum aids in bettering the student's development, ensuring that Firebirdians stand out from their colleagues when they attend interviews.
Students will spend 4 to 6 hours every day working at the companies, An industry mentor from the company will be on hand to look after the students. In order to evaluate their performances, our college professors will be in touch with the industry mentor. In a similar vein, the students will submit reports on the Action Learning Program every four months. The students must meet the criteria of the project reports in order to receive the credits that will be recorded on their mark sheets.
This ALP is a two-year curriculum from Monday to Friday. Students will work 4 to 5 hours per day at the company while only attending lecture classes for three hours a day. ALP is given a lot of weightage in academia; hence Firebird Institute makes sure its students have enough practical experience.

Summer Internship (SIP)
After successful completion of the first-year requirements in May, the students do not have a break in June and July; instead, they are assigned full-time internships. SIP is a compulsory immersion project that combines on-ground learning with project work. In ALP, students will visit regional companies, whereas, during the summer internship, they will work in organizations all over India. This PAN India placement, namely Coimbatore, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, etc., for these two months, will be taken care of by placement team in Firebird. Furthermore, our college professors will be in contact with the industry mentor in the companies. Students who have completed summer internship training must turn in project reports covering the last two months.
For their summer internships, our students are placed in the following businesses all around India. These include BlackBoard Learning, CareerNet, CIEL HR-Cbe, Hyundai, L&T, Spi Global, United Enterprises, Venpep Solutions, Career Net Consulting, Systel Energy Solution, Hyundai Motors, SITEL, CLHR, Crisil Ltd, Wizfreight, SG Analytics, Kone Elevators India Ltd, EC International -Chennai, L &T Construction, HFFC, Kings labs, Oppo Ltd, SPI Global, Decathalon, Fincover Financial Services, Fugo Services, and Titan.
Industry Mentors
Our students placed in respective companies will be assigned a corporate mentor specialized in their particular field, which will help our Firebirdians to chart out their unique path.
The corporate mentor will help our students identify their strengths and align them with emerging opportunities to move them towards their dreams. For example, marketing students will be groomed with marketing skills with the support of our chosen Industry Expert.
Firebird Ventures
Our Firebird Institute of Research and Management also provides entrepreneurship training apart from placements. After graduation, the majority of students will consider placements, although some students will have to take their family businesses or want to start their own firms. Such students who want to take up their own businesses or become an entrepreneur are encouraged to build their own businesses with the help and guidance of our Firebird institute.
There are two ventures that are already brought up by our students. One is a production- related initiative (a bakery project), while the other is a digital marketing effort (E- Commerce). The bakery is located outside of our campus. Besides putting the student's ideas into practice, our management has contributed some money to the start-up of this bakery. The bakery initiative was started by ten of our former students, and the students diligently worked on it from 2019 to 2020.
Also, we have in-house entrepreneurial start-ups by students, which no big institute offers.
ALP Experiences
Personality Enhancement Programme (PEP)
The personality enhancement programme helps the students to enhance their personality and interpersonal skills. This programme accounts for 1 hour a day (8.30 PM to 9.30 PM) starting from day 1 of the 1 st trimester. This is a mandatory syllabus of our Firebird institution, which helps our students to develop soft skills such as communication skills, negotiation skills, personal grooming, personal development, aptitude, and interview skills.
We at the Firebird Institute are proud to state that Firebirdians, through our PEP sessions, have gained excellent public speaking abilities and have augmented their confidence to face any corporate. Students are given an opportunity to address different forums like Sales Meet, Chambers of Commerce & Industry, the World Economic Forum, and counterfeit Indian Parliament, thus preparing them to be the future TEDx speakers.
