Firebird Faculty Industry Training at Shiva Texyarn Ltd

A two-day faculty industry training program was successfully conducted at Shiva Texyarn Ltd. between June 4 & 5, offering practical insights into core functions in Finance and Human Resource Management. Representing the Firebird Institute of Research in Management, faculty members Dr. Johnsi.S (Finance) and Ms. Shiny (HR) participated in the initiative, aimed at strengthening academic-industry collaboration and applied.

In the Finance sessions, insightful discussions with the CFO, AGM–Finance, and Accounts Manager focused on financial procedures, banking operations, statutory compliance under the Companies Act and Income Tax laws, and the industry’s expectations from management graduates, highlighting the need for curriculum revampment. Meanwhile, the HR segment—led by the General Manager – HR and team—covered end-to-end HR practices, talent acquisition, performance appraisal tools, AI integration in HR, and key compliance areas such as labour laws, grievance handling, trade union dynamics, and consumer rights.

The training served as a vital bridge between academic knowledge and industry practices, equipping the faculty with practical insights that will directly enhance curriculum delivery, faculty development, and industry-relevant education for future business professionals.
